Cement Board for External Render and Plaster Systems
In direct-render facade applications, the cement board is fixed directly to the wall framing or masonry substrate and acts as the backing for an external render system. Mineral silicate render, silicone render, and acrylic thin-coat render systems are compatible with the cement board surface after priming.

Dimensionally stable — no swelling or shrinkage when wetted during render application
Provides excellent render adhesion after alkali-resistant primer
Compatible with Sto, Baumit, Weber, and Mapei render systems
Category A moisture classification — suitable for all European climates
Non-combustible substrate — A1 reaction to fire
CE certified under EN 12467 — mandatory for EEA use
Unlike timber sheathing boards or gypsum-based backing, Terasun TSM does not absorb moisture or degrade when exposed to wind-driven rain during the construction phase — reducing the risk of render failure caused by substrate movement.
