Terasun TSM — Cement board for steel frame
⚙️ Cement board for steel frame
Cement Board for Steel Frame Construction
Steel frame construction requires an external sheathing board that is moisture stable, dimensionally stable, and non-combustible — all properties that cement board provides. Terasun TSM is compatible with both 400 mm and 600 mm stud spacing in light steel frame systems, making it directly interchangeable with gypsum sheathing in most wall assemblies.
Application
Cement board cladding and sheathing for light steel frame and structural steel construction systems.

Steel frame application features
Compatible with 400 mm stud spacing for standard LSF construction
Compatible with 600 mm stud spacing for optimised steel frame systems
Non-combustible substrate — A1 reaction to fire
Dimensionally stable — no seasonal movement with humidity change
High impact resistance for commercial and industrial interiors
CE certified EN 12467 Category A — mandatory for EEA construction use
In steel frame facade systems, the cement board is fixed through the exterior insulation layer to the steel studs using corrosion-resistant screws. It provides the substrate for render finish, paintable cladding, or ventilated facade panels. In interior applications, it provides a high-impact, moisture-resistant alternative to standard gypsum lining board.
